Manu Gulati is the founder and master brewer of Effingut Breweries, a pioneering craft beer brand based in Pune, India. Established in 2014, Effingut began as a small brewpub and has since grown into a national presence with multiple outlets across Maharashtra. Gulati’s passion for craft beer was ignited during his travels in Europe, where he developed a deep appreciation for artisanal brewing techniques. This inspiration led him to create Effingut, aiming to introduce high-quality craft beers to the Indian market.

Under his leadership, Effingut has achieved significant milestones, including winning three bronze medals at the 2020 Asia Beer Championship—making it the only Indian brewery to earn such recognition that year. The brand offers over 230 distinct beer styles and has expanded its reach through initiatives like Effingut 2 Go, India’s first retail craft beer chain.
